Simone and Daniel had known each other for years, but it wasn’t until they were at a mutual friend’s wedding back in 2013, that Dan began to see Simone in a different light, and a couple of weeks later, he sent her a message via LinkedIn, (yes, LINKED IN) where after some small talk, they organised to catch up before a West Coast Eagles footy game for a drink at the Subiaco Footy Club Member’s Bar at Subiaco Oval. It wasn’t exactly romantic, Dan bought Simone a drink, then was like “ok bye, the match is about to start.” A few weeks and multitudes of messages later, where dates were arranged and then cancelled, a frustrated Simone texted him to say that she wasn’t sure if they were ever going to go on a date.
Dan panicked and straight away responded by inviting her immediately over to his house for a home-cooked dinner. It was pretty much game over for Simone when upon arriving at Dan’s place, she could smell the most incredible aroma, chef Dan’s seafood paella. And whether it was his culinary skills or the way they naturally bonded with each other, their lives have never been the same since.
They celebrated their beautiful autumn Swan Valley wedding at Mandoon Estate in Caversham, WA. As it was the 5th of May, Dan got his way and was able to slightly make it a Star Wars Themed wedding.
They interviewed many Perth celebrants Western Australia, but I was lucky to officiate the wedding for this bright, bubbly, fun couple. The vineyards surrounding the venue were perfect for Perth wedding photos after the ceremony, as guests in the interim enjoyed drinks and canapes on the beautiful property.
